The Rupununi area is about 5000 square miles with a population of about 18000. Indigenous people of different tribes. the Wapisiana tribes, Makushi tribes, the waiwai tribes ect.

Virtually untouched grasslands, swamplands, rain-forested mountains. The region usually floods in
the wet season.
